Are you looking for your next role in social care, or perhaps a career change?

If so, Visualise Scotland is seeking additional Support Workers to provide high quality support to people with profound disabilities.

Due to service expansion, we are recruiting for full time, part time and relief workers for our Housing Support, Care at Home, and Day Services.  In exchange for your motivation, commitment and care, we pay £9.00-£10.18 per hour (dependent on qualification level) and provide excellent training and development opportunities.

We are seeking people with inclusive and caring values to support amazing yet vulnerable people.  Experience of working with people with disabilities is desirable but not essential as full training and support will be provided. 

Specific Details:

Job title:          Support Worker

Hours:             Full time, part time and relief posts available

Salary:             £17,544 FTE (£9/hour) for unqualified staff[1]

                        £19,317 FTE (£9.91/hour) for SVQ 2 qualified staff

                        £19,857 FTE (£10.18/hour) for SVQ 3 qualified staff

Annual Leave: 30 days including public holidays (pro-rata for part time)

Skills and Experience:

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about providing care and support to vulnerable people. A team player who is able to use their initiative, you will be aware that being adaptable is essential to providing high quality, personalised support.  Excellent communication skills are necessary, as is experience of keeping records. You will be a reliable individual, with excellent interpersonal skills.

Experience of supporting people with profound disabilities; supporting people with mobility issues; and supporting individuals with epilepsy and experience administering medication is desirable.

Whilst SVQ or equivalent qualifications are desirable, they are not essential as Visualise Scotland will support you through this qualification.
